Car rental insurance question: I’ve seen lots of helpful posts about car rentals here but my question is about the insurance. I’m from America so haven’t had to deal w/ Spanish/Eurpean rules! I’m looking to do a month long rental with the possibility of extending it for a longer period.
- What’s the difference between full risk insurance with excess versus full insurance w/out excess?
- Should I purchase supplementary insurance?
For example, I looked at Malagacar and they offered the “full pack” w/ full insurance w/out excess but I stopped by Lessagro Cars and they offer full risk insurance w/ excess. The prices are very similar.
I’ve also seen significantly lower rates on doouspain.com, but I’m wondering if there’s a catch. I’d rather be safe than sorry in regards to insurance even if that means paying extra (within reason!).
