Request compensation for easyjet cancellation

Hi lovely folks.

I had the email of dread this morning from easyJet to say my flight to Malaga on the 30th July was canceled but, that they had managed to get me on a flight 12 hours later on the same day.

While this is not good news, I sympathize with those who are worse off than I am, had flights canceled and not rescheduled.
Regardless, we will now miss our first day in our villa in Nerja. Just wondering, is it worth me contacting them for compensation or, won’t they be interested?
